Why it helps
The session lands faster in the language you think in.
A child of five learning to serve is being asked to take in a new movement and a new language at the same time. Remove one and the other lands. For juniors whose English is still arriving, a coach who can explain the grip in Russian is the difference between following the session and copying whoever is standing next to them.
Adults are a different problem. Most are fluent enough in English for everything else in Dubai, but tennis carries a vocabulary of its own, and being corrected in your first language after a full working day is quicker and a good deal less tiring.
If you played as a child, the words for the game probably came to you in Russian as well. Coming back to it in the same language picks up where you left off, instead of relearning it in translation.

Questions
Coaching in Russian, answered.
- Can I request a Russian speaking tennis coach?
- Yes. Choose the language on the booking form and we match you with a coach who speaks it, then confirm who is coming with you on WhatsApp before the session is set.
- Do you coach children in Russian?
- Yes, from age five, in junior group classes and junior private lessons. Coaching a beginner in the language they think in is usually the fastest way to get the basics to stick.
- Which areas do you cover?
- Arabian Ranches 1 and 2, Mira, Mira Oasis, Dubai Hills Estate, Lantana, Mudon and DAMAC Hills. We are a mobile academy, so the coach travels to your court rather than you travelling to us.
- Do you coach in English as well?
- Yes. We coach in English and Arabic alongside Russian, and you can mix them in a session if that suits the player.
